OPAR facilities

Slideshow >>OPAR is a multi-site observatory (St Denis, Gillot, Maïdo, Le Port). Located at 2160m of altitude in the west part of the island, the Maïdo station is our main observing platform.

OPAR is operated by the OSU Reunion's technical and administrative team. Several laboratories from different places take part to the observatory's steering. Associated laboratory from Reunion island is the LACy.
With an instrumental park composed by more than 40 instruments, OPAR is providing unique observation datasets to several international atmospheric and climate data networks for research, atmosphere survey and satellite validation.

OPAR's platforms welcome scientist teams with or without their equipments from all over the world for short or long term measurements. Information about transnational access >>
